HTE is led by its Founders – Charalampos Tzanetakos and George Gourzoulidis, who are supported by a team of experienced and dedicated economists, medical writers and statisticians, and has access to extensive research expertise through its association with universities, other vendors and key opinion leaders.

George Gourzoulidis, MSc
Managing Partner
Biography
George Gourzoulidis is a managing partner and co-founder of Health Through Evidence with more than 12 years of Health Technology Assessment and Outcomes Research experience. He has extensive experience in decision-analytic modeling (decision tree & Markov modelling, discrete event simulation and partitioned survival modelling), data analysis and systematic literature reviews. He has developed HTA submission documents and market access strategies for a wide range of disease areas, including Oncology/Hematology, nephrology, diabetes, autoimmune disorders, rare diseases, infectious diseases, and cardiovascular diseases. George has considerable experience in designing, initiating, directing, and executing patient-reported outcomes studies across multiple therapeutic areas that include, duchenne muscular dystrophy, ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis and crohn disease.
George is also a visiting lecturer in Health Technology Assessment at the postgraduate program «Development of new drugs: research, launch and access”, organized by Medical School of University of Athens. He focuses his research and efforts in the fields of Economic Evaluation of Pharmaceuticals, Health Technology Assessment, Pharmaceutical Policy and Outcomes Research, having published research papers in international scientific journals with high impact factors and participating in numerous international and national conferences presenting a variety of scientific research studies. Moreover, he has served as an ad hoc peer-reviewer for a several international scientific journals.
Prior to co-founding Health Through Evidence, George has served as a health economics consultant at research firms specialized in Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR), as research fellow at National School of Public Health (now University of West Attica), University of Piraeus, Health Procurement Committee, Ministry of Health & Social Solidarity and as an administrative staff at Scientific Society for Social Cohesion & Development.
George holds a B.Sc. in Health Management and a M.Sc. in Health Services Administration with a specialization in Economic Evaluation and Pharmaceutical Economics from the National School of Public Health (now University of West Attica) in Athens, Greece. During his studies he has gained profound exposure on the multidisciplinary approach of Health Technology Assessment and Economic Evaluation of Pharmaceuticals Interventions.

Charalampos Tzanetakos, MSc

Biography
Charalampos Tzanetakos is an HTA consultant and founding partner of Health Through Evidence. He has extensive experience in designing, leading and carrying out HEOR and HTA projects across major therapeutic areas, including oncology, neurology, respiratory, ophthalmology, cardiovascular, diabetes, and autoimmune disorders.
He has worked on various types of economic models, real-world studies, and communications over the course of his career. He has developed HEOR and market access strategies as well as organized and participated in scientific advisory panels. Charalampos’s research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences. He has also provided peer review for various international scientific journals. Charalampos holds an MSc in health economics from the University of Rotterdam and a BSc in finance from the University of Piraeus.

Marina Psarra, MSc

Biography
Marina Psarra currently works as a medical writer for Health Through Evidence. She has extensive experience in developing clinical dossiers for the Health Technology Assessment Committee (HTA) in Greece for several medical technologies across a wide range of therapeutic areas, including autoimmune disorders, respiratory diseases, infectious diseases, oncology, and neurology. Marina has been published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented her research at national and international conferences, showcasing her expertise in evidence-based medicine. Beyond her technical skills, she has a strong interest in science communication and has played a pivotal role as a member of the organizing committee for numerous science workshops, aiming to bridge the gap between research and public understanding. Marina received her BSc in Biology and her MSc in Reproductive and Regenerative Medicine from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), where she also participated in several research projects focusing on innovative treatments and therapies.

Aki Voudigaris, MSc
Advisor for Business Development &Strategic Partnerships
Biography
Aki Voudigaris brings 16 years of experience in fostering collaboration, leading cross-functional teams, and driving growth across academic research, healthcare, and start-up ecosystems. With a proven track record of building strategic partnerships, he has successfully enhanced research impact, secured external funding, and aligned organizational goals with societal needs. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at both national and international conferences. He holds an MSc in Health Economics, Policy, and Law from the University of Rotterdam and an MSc in Healthcare Management from the National School of Public Health (now the University of West Attica). Aki, as a Senior Advisor for Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at Health Through Evidence (HTE), will focus on fostering growth, driving innovation, and cultivating strategic alliances that align with HTE’s mission to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Petros Savourdos, MD
Medical Affairs consultant
Biography
Petros Savourdos is a military doctor, specialized in occupational and environmental medicine. He is a graduate of the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a postgraduate student at the Department of Political Science of Public Health in the University of West Attica. He specialized in occupational medicine in Greece at the 251 Air Force General Hospital, at the “Andreas Syggros” Hospital and at the “Thriasio” General Hospital of Elefsina. He is currently working as an authorized Aeromedical Examiner at the Hellenic Air Force Aviation Medicine Center (HAFAMC) and as a Medical Affairs consultant at Health Through Evidence (HTE). On his role at HTE, Petros is engaged in researching, evaluating and presenting epidemiological and clinical data aiming to contribute to the application of evidence-based practice in Greece.
Moreover, Petros currently serves as a supervisor and instructor of the School of Aviation Medicine, the School of Flight Physiology, and the Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support seminar (PHTLS). He also teaches as a lecturer at the Hellenic Air Force Academy (commonly known as Icarus School) in the course of Aviation Medicine and at the New York College in the course of Anatomy and Physiology of the human body. Petros’s research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at scientific conferences.

Andriani Angelopoulou, PhD

Biography
Andriani Angelopoulou is a Biologist with a strong academic background holding a PhD in Molecular Carcinogenesis from the Medical School of Athens. She earned her Master’s in Molecular Biomedicine: Mechanisms of Disease, Molecular and Cellular therapies and Bioinnovation from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in collaboration with the BSRC “Alexander Fleming” Institute. Through her research journey and experience as a Visiting Researcher at the University Medical Center Göttingen in Germany, Andriani has gained cutting-edge expertise and scientific knowledge in the field of cancer research. Her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Crete also provided valuable experience at the IMBB-FORTH. Andriani has contributed to high-impact publications, conference presentations, and posters, earning scholarships and awards, such as the H.F.R.I. Ph.D. scholarship and the Early-Career Scientist Award by Greek Women in STEM organization. Andriani is currently working as a Medical Writer for Health Through Evidence (HTE).
