Meet The Team
HTE is led by its Founders – Charalampos Tzanetakos and George Gourzoulidis, who are supported by a team of experienced and dedicated economists, medical writers and statisticians, and has access to extensive research expertise through its association with universities, other vendors and key opinion leaders.

George Gourzoulidis, MSc
Managing Partner
Biography
Gourzoulidis George is a HTA consultant and managing partner of Health Through Evidence. George manages large and complex projects across Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR) business areas in full breadth of therapeutic areas ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
He has extensive experience in decision-analytic modeling (decision tree & Markov modelling, discrete event simulation and partitioned survival modelling), data analysis and systematic literature reviews. He has developed HTA submission documents and market access strategies for a wide range of disease areas, including Oncology/Hematology, nephrology, type II diabetes, autoimmune disorders, rare diseases, vaccines and cardiovascular diseases.
George is also a visiting lecturer in Economic Evaluation & Health Technology Assessment at the postgraduate program organized by Medical School of University of Athens. He focuses his research and efforts in the fields of Economic Evaluation of Pharmaceuticals, Health Technology Assessment and Pharmaceutical Policy, having published research papers in international scientific journals with high impact factors and participating in numerous international and national conferences presenting a variety of scientific research studies. Moreover, he has served as a peer-reviewer for a several international scientific journals.
Prior to co-founding Health Through Evidence, George has served as a health economics consultant at research firms specialized in HEOR, as research fellow at National School of Public Health (now University of West Attica), University of Piraeus, Health Procurement Committee, Ministry of Health & Social Solidarity and as an administrative staff at Scientific Society for Social Cohesion & Development.
George holds a B.Sc. in Health Management and a M.Sc. in Health Services Administration with a specialization in Economic Evaluation and Pharmaceutical Economics from the National School of Public Health (now University of West Attica) in Athens, Greece. During his studies he has gained profound exposure on the multidisciplinary approach of Health Technology Assessment and Economic Evaluation of Pharmaceuticals Interventions.

Charalampos Tzanetakos, MSc

Biography
Charalampos Tzanetakos is a HTA consultant and founding partner of Health Through Evidence. He has extensive experience in leading and conducting HEOR projects and HTA submissions across major therapeutic areas, including oncology, neurology, respiratory, ophthalmology, cardiovascular, diabetes, and autoimmune disorders. He has worked on various types of economic models, evidence synthesis, and communications over the course of his career.
He has developed HEOR and market access strategies as well as organized and attended scientific advice meetings. Charalampos’s research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences. He has also provided peer review for various scientific journals. Charalampos holds an MSc in health economics from the University of Rotterdam and a BSc in finance from the University of Piraeus.

Marina Psarra, MSc
Biologist-Medical writer
Biography
Psarra Marina received her BSc in Biology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) in 2020. During her undergraduate thesis, she studied polymorphisms in patients with Osteoporosis. After completion of her degree, she started her MSc in Reproductive and Regenerative Medicine in NKUA and now she is completing her thesis about extended embryo culture. Marina has also worked as a trainee embryologist at Maternity Hospitals during her studies, where she contributed in the publishment of scientific articles leading her to the direction of medical writing. She has an interest in science communication and she had been a member of the organizing committee for many science workshops. She is currently working as a medical writer for Health Through Evidence.

Petros Savourdos, MD
Medical Affairs consultant
Biography
Savourdos Petros is a military doctor, specialized in occupational and environmental medicine. He is a graduate of the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a postgraduate student at the Department of Political Science of Public Health in the University of West Attica. He specialized in occupational medicine in Greece at the 251 Air Force General Hospital, at the “Andreas Syggros” Hospital and at the “Thriasio” General Hospital of Elefsina. He is currently working as an authorized Aeromedical Examiner at the Hellenic Air Force Aviation Medicine Center (HAFAMC) and as a Medical Affairs consultant at Health Through Evidence (HTE). On his role at HTE, Petros is engaged in researching, evaluating and presenting epidemiological and clinical data aiming to contribute to the application of evidence-based practice in Greece.
Moreover, Petros currently serves as a supervisor and instructor of the School of Aviation Medicine, the School of Flight Physiology, and the Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support seminar (PHTLS). He also teaches as a lecturer at the Hellenic Air Force Academy (commonly known as Icarus School) in the course of Aviation Medicine and at the New York College in the course of Anatomy and Physiology of the human body. Petros’s research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at scientific conferences.
